Here at Brost Farms, we are a 6th generation farm that raises grass fed Angus cattle on our 105 acre farm in Monroe, Michigan. Originally operated as a dairy farm, the homestead has changed a few times over the 130 plus years it has been operational. In 2019, Kevin & Katilyn Minney left their “corporate” jobs to come back to the farm… and they’ve never looked back!

Our animals are all raised with the same standards, as natural as possible. Naturally bred, naturally fed, and handled with love and compassion. That means we do not use hormones, daily antibiotics, steroids, or anything unnecessary. We raise our own feed, such as non-GMO corn, triticale, barley, and hay. This allows us to know how and where the feed was raised, which is very important to us and our animals.

Our goal is to bring the best locally raised meats and provisions to our customer. This has helped us form great partnerships with like minded farmers in our area. In 2020, these partnerships allowed us to expand from offering not only Grass Fed Angus Beef, but Berkshire Pork, Lamb, and Pastured Chicken too!

You can find us at Trenton Farmers Market, selling meat and educating our customers about buying directly from the source. We also have a market at the farm where we are open to the public on Friday's and Saturday's.
